Discovery was also the pioneer in the development of ANTI RETRO-VIRAL Products in Brazil, recognized by the Ministry of Health in Brasilia as the innovative Company assisting in the registration of several clients, besides the actual State and Federal governments, obtaining latest-generation Products and Documentation for the control of AIDS.

The products LAMIVUDINE and INDINAVIR were introduced in the Brazilian Market in 1998 through one of Discovery’s main Represented Companies in India and this line of Products modified the scenario of this appalling disease, catering to 100% of Brazilians tested positive for HIV virus.

Sundry commissions of the Brazilian Government visited Discovery’s Represented Companies with the intention of ratifying our Plants and of using their products on a wide scale at several Government-Owned Laboratories.
